My Ladybug, the social butterfly September 26, 2010

 

Mommy’s return to work has not put a dent in Kennedy’s social schedule. Even though Nanny A does a great job keeping her entertained, she still has time for swing time chats with her main man,

 

 

and lunchtime gab sessions with her best girlfriend.

 

Sweet thang that she is, she still has time to fly kites with Mommy on the weekend. Here she is with her keychain kite – a tiny thing that folds out into this perfectly-Kennedy-sized flying contraption. As small as she is, she’s an excellent kite launcher!

As you can see, my little Ladybug is in regular, old-fashioned, Walmart 6-to-a-pack big girl panties. I couldn’t be more proud!

 

Miss Thang has legs a mile long as has started experimenting with trying to climb into her crib. I and Nanny a have caught her more than a couple of times sneaking in her room to see if she could accomplish this feat. I took that as a hint that it was time to convert her crib to the toddler bed and see what happens. I left the back rails up because the baseboard heater creates a little gap and I didn’t want her to fall into it at night. Well Kennedy is thrilled to have a bed she can climb into and out of (safely) on her own!

 

 

Today was absolutely stunning (thanks, Earl!), so we took a field trip an hour north to Shepard’s Lake to play. We loved it there and look forward to going back before the weather gets nippy. Kennedy took a dip in the crystal clear water, played on the playground and chased ducks with her daddy. It was an amazing day!
